Kourtis Flooring specializes in the restoration of existing gymnasium floors. We have acquired, and in many cases, developed the resources and tools required to ensure the work is carried out efficiently and with minimal disruption to regular facility operation.

Whenever undertaking the restoration of an existing gymnasium, our attention is focused on several considerations:

Strong and fast-drying water-based finishes cut down on drying time required between coats. All this allows us to re-open the gym to regular traffic in the least amount of time.

Game Lines are laid out accurately and in accordance to court marking regulations. During this process, games can be added, removed and colours changed to suit the needs of the facility and its members.

3.DURABILTIY:
High quality water-based finishes are recommended- strong wearing, environmentally friendly, VOC compliant, and quick drying. The refinishing of a gym or dance studio is only as good as the polyurethane applied to protect it.

RECOATING & PRESERVATION:

Once the time and investment is made to refurbish the gymnasium or dance studio floor, our commitment is to help ensure the floor continues to look and perform like new. Periodic Professional Preventive Maintenance will help erase the signs of wear and aging and push off the need for re-sanding indefinitely. Proper daily cleaning plays an integral role in preserving the life of the floor’s finish. We provide floor care training to all our customers.

We offer Preventive Maintenance packages for every floor we refinish. Periodic Professional PM requires a fraction of the time and cost of refinishing and avoids unnecessarily depleting the floor’s sandable surface.
